Have you welcomed the first day of spring? My daffodils are poking up almost ready to bloom.

Are you ready for spring ? It’s only 20 days away. Can’t wait to see something green again!

 The good news is that seeds are now available at most retail stores. Though it’s still too early to start most seeds, it’s a good time to get them while the selection is abundant.

Can you believe November is here already? There’s still lots of things you can do in your gardens.
As long as the soil is pliable, you can plant bulbs, and transplant perennials.

There’s still time to plant bulbs for spring flowering.  Be sure to water them several times after planting.  Continue to water shrubs and trees until we get a frost.

The scent of fall is in the air!  Can you believe it’s September already? Where did it go? Lots to do in September for gardeners.

It’s August already. Where did the summer go?  Lots of things you can do in your gardens now. These hints are for everyone, especially our newer members.

Everything is growing really well this summer. It must have been all the rain we got in June. What’s going on in the garden now?

It’s about time to start planting most everything now. I am holding off on some of my tender plants for a few more days though. Keep an eye on nighttime temperatures.

Early flowering trees and spring flowers have been magnificent this year in keeping with Maia, the Greek goddess of nurturing and growth, for which May is named.

The month of March seemed to blow by. Supposedly the windiest month of the year. Very true this year.  Now we get down to business. Spring has sprung. Lots to do this month.

Welcome to February! Did you know that February was named after the Roman purification festival called Februa. The month of cleansing, in preparation for spring.
